What is SPIRIT?

SPIRIT is a youth ministry at St. Paul Parish for those in grades 6 and 7. The pre-teens of SPIRIT are encouraged to deepen their faith in themselves and God through participation in their parish community, mass, and prayer.

Do I have to be Catholic to go to SPIRIT?

No you do not. SPIRIT is open to everybody, you are always among friends.

What is SPIRIT’s mission statement?

SPIRIT follows a mission statement set out by Edge Ministries (a division of LifeTeen), that mission statement isĀ “Leading pre-teens closer to Christ.”

When are SPIRIT nights?

SPIRIT nights are generally held on the second and fourth Fridays of every month from September to June, at 7:30pm in the Parish Center.

How old is SPIRIT?

SPIRIT was established in September of 1999. Which means that SPIRIT is older than all the current pre-teens and older than some of our current leaders!

Why the name SPIRIT?

The name SPIRIT represents three things:

  • The Trinity
  • The Vitality and Spirit of the young
  • The kindling Fire of Confirmation

  1. Do you have any summer activities for grade 5 students ages 10 years old? How much it will gonna cost if we decide to send our daughter to attend Spirit this coming September? Thank you

    1. Hello! Unfortunately we do not have any summer activities as of now.
Spirit is absolutely free as leaders operate on a volunteer basis. We do although have fundraisers such as our January Bottle Drive, in order to provide funds for things such as snacks, and supplies for the nights. We do appreciate if parents offer to provide snacks for the night though!
